Why should my drivers attend TTC's Driver Hours DCPC course?

This workshop refreshes drivers' knowledge of current legislation, requirements and exemptions within the haulage and passenger carrying industry.

Drivers will gain an in depth understanding of drivers hours rules and regulations, both EU & Domestic Rules including digital tacho recording equipment and important information on the Road Transport Working Time Directive.  

Also explored is enforcement and penalties and digital tachograph printouts.

Also available as a 7-hour workshop.  Another 3.5 hour course can be taken in the same or following day.

This CPC course is JAUPT-approved for all professional drivers undertaking 35 hours of periodic training.

Course outline

EU drivers hours rules
Important rules and regulations, rest and break periods, key definitions, consequences of driving tired and driver hours scenarios.

Digital tachograph
Digital tacho heads, drivers cards, manual entries, vehicle unit (VU) downloads and digital tacho pictograms.

RTWTD
Key regulations, night work, period of availability (POA), driving breaks and UK domestic rules on Road Transport Working Time Directive (RTWTD).

Enforcement
Breaches of the rules, fixed penalty bands and powers of a traffic commissioner.
