Our Alcohol Education Course is for people who have committed low-level offences while under the influence of alcohol but are thought less likely to reoffend with knowledge and training.
The online workshop-style course, based on psychological research, is designed to help them think about the impact of their behaviour on themselves and others, with useful knowledge and skills to help them make better choices.
Over three engaging and informative modules, including peer-to-peer discussions, our expert trainers help participants understand their personal reasons for poor behaviour as well as strategies and additional support for staying in control. Clear, engaging and practical, with a range of payment options and friendly customer support, the Alcohol Education Course is suitable for people arrested for any minor offences where alcohol is thought to be a factor.

What is an Alcohol Education Course like?
The course is a relaxed and informative online interactive workshop facilitated by a licensed trainer. There is no police involvement and there is no test at the end. The session is delivered as a virtual classroom using Zoom. If you feel or think you might not be able to participate in an online virtual classroom, please call one of our customer care team on 0292 002 7737 to discuss alternative arrangements.
Original photo ID
You must bring photo identification, such as a valid passport, to the course which will be checked at registration. This must be an original physical document; digital copies will not be accepted. If you do not have photographic ID, you must bring along with you two other forms of identification such as a recent utility bill, bank statement and/or debit/credit card. Failure to produce such identification will result in your exclusion from the course.
Every effort will be made to offer an alternative date, provided there is sufficient availability and time within the police deadline. A further rearrangement fee will be required.
If you do not have photo ID, you will need to speak to the police force who referred you for the course, prior to your course date.
Bringing an interpreter
The course is only available in English and Welsh languages. For anyone whose English/Welsh language skills are limited, and this will restrict their ability to complete a course, we recommend you make arrangements for an interpreter to help you. Although it is your responsibility to do this, we will need to know who this person is as they will also need to provide ID. Check out our advice page for all the information you need.
