The TTC Group has been congratulated by the Prime Minister as one of the top 1,000 dynamic companies to ‘inspire Britain’.
The road safety organisation, which educates more than 350,000 motorists each year to reduce road casualties and works in the fleet sector, was chosen for the third year running by the London Stock Exchange, which identifies the ‘most dynamic’ small and medium-sized enterprises with high growth potential in the UK and Europe.
Prime Minister Theresa May said in the foreward to the Stock Exchange report that established family firms showcase the UK as an entrepreneurial and versatile place to do business. She congratulated all 1,000 high growth and innovative companies, including the TTC Group, which were a crucial part of the mission to build “a stronger, fairer Britain”.
Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, said the 1,000 named companies had outperformed their sector peers.
The award-winning TTC Group, a family firm founded by husband and wife Graham and Jenny Wynn more than 20 years ago, has grown into a multi-million pound company with an ethos to be the best in the world of road safety while encouraging staff to fulfil their potential.
They work with the fleet sector to manage road risk safely, more efficiently and at a reduced cost with TTC. While 300 TTC trainers work to change driving behaviour through classroom and on-road courses for police and councils across the UK. They are also the country’s largest cycle trainer.
Managing Director Jenny Wynn said they were “passionate” about the need to educate all road users to reduce death and serious injuries on the road.
With a call centre for companies to outsource management services, the TTC Group is a regular fundraiser for numerous charities and were involved in taking calls on behalf of Sport Relief last year.
With a head office in Hadley Park, Telford, opened by the Princess Royal, they are a leading provider of driver behavioural change courses for the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS), an educational alternative to prosecution for some road traffic offences.
They run courses on behalf of police and councils in 12 UK regions from Scotland in the north, Wales in the west, across north England and the Midlands to Avon and Somerset, Kent and Devon and Cornwall in the south.
A pioneer of drink drive rehabilitation since the 1990s, the TTC Group has been directly involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of national courses for speed awareness, driver alertness, What’s Driving Us?, Driving 4 Change and rider intervention courses aimed at getting drivers to reconsider how they drive to reduce risks.
