Workshop Overview
This one-to-one driver coaching is designed to increase the knowledge, confidence and ability of driving all electric and hybrid vehicles while achieving maximum benefit from the technology.
Tailored specifically to suit the make, model and vehicle.
Coaching will focus on the behaviours involved in making a switch from internal combustion engine vehicles to all electric or hybrid-based powertrain vehicles.
Supporting businesses reducing their carbon footprint through transitioning to electric vehicles.

Course Outline
Introduction
- Outline of the course, checking of driving licence and eyesight.
- Introduction to the training vehicle controls and settings.
Driving an electric vehicle or hybrid
- Understanding of charging capabilities including: how to charge, best times to charge regarding battery life, ambient outside and battery temperature, what levels to charge to and from, where and when to charge.
- Understanding the upsides and downsides of potential increased vehicle torque. • Awareness and explanation of regenerative braking.
- Overcoming range anxiety through planning.
- Use of coasting vs regenerative braking.
- Consequences of bad driving.
- Benefits of making changes to driving style to accommodate the technology.
- Parking / charging etiquette.

Logistics
Our delivery is facilitated both in classroom and in vehicle.
Participants
Participants will need to:
- Supply their own EV or hybrid.
- Ensure the vehicle is sufficiently charged to 80% minimum, and / or has sufficient fuel backup for hybrid vehicles.
- Drivers able to read a number plate from 20 metres in good day light with or without corrective vision.
- Produce their driving licence or if they do not have it with them, agree to undertake a check with the DVLA.
- Ensure vehicle meets all Road Traffic Act requirements.
