Why should my drivers attend TTC's Driver Health & Wellbeing DCPC course?

This workshop examines issues affecting the driver’s health and well-being in relation to improving road safety and driving performance.

The impact and causes of stress on health and driving, personal triggers and stress management are explored in-depth through group discussion.

Advice and guidance is provided on diet, fitness, fatigue, sleep apnoea, drugs and alcohol to reduce road risk and motivate positive behaviour changes.

Another 3.5 hour course can be taken in the same or following day, providing a more varied learning programme for your drivers.

Anybody who is required to complete their Driver CPC hours.

Delivery method

The workshop is facilitated by a professional driver trainer who will fully engage with participants to maximise the learning experience and draw out their views and opinions.

Managing stress
Impact and consequences of stress on driving performance and reducing driver impairment through drugs and alcohol.

Scale of the problem
Group discussion on DfT collision causation factors within the LGV and PCV sectors.

Diet and driving
How diet can impact on road safety with particular focus on stress and weight gain, fatigue and sleep apnoea.

Action plan
Drivers develop effective ways to deal with stress and are motivated to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
