Motorcycle and moped riders are among the most vulnerable of all road users and it can be too easy to forget the risks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Rider Risk Awareness Course (NRRAC) is for riders whose on road behaviour could be described as thrill-seeking, anti-social or careless, but who police believe would respond well to education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using a range of engaging, non-judgemental modules, specially adapted to the two-wheel experience, TTC\u2019s expert trainers help motorcyclists challenge their assumptions and change risky behaviours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NRRAC course is part of the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme, NDORS, which is licensed by UKROEd. It is a behavioural change course for those who have committed an offence whilst riding a powered two-wheeler, and who have been diverted from court by the police through the issuing of a Conditional Offer Fixed Penalty Notice (COFPN).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This course is only for people who have been referred by the police to attend a National Rider Risk Awareness Course<\/strong>. You will know if this applies to you because you will have received a letter offering you the course.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Can I change my course booking?<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n

Providing there is sufficient time within the deadline given by the police, you can change your course once you have booked. There may be a rearrangement fee for changing your course, which is outlined in our course terms and conditions. Amend your booking using the same UKROEd portal as you used to book your original course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The format of the National Rider Risk Awareness Course<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n

The course is a relaxed and informative interactive workshop facilitated by a licensed NDORS (National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme) trainer. There is no police involvement. There\u2019s no riding involved, and you won\u2019t take a test which you can pass or fail. We only ask that you engage fully with the course content and stay until the end. As it is theory-only, it is carried out online via your own compatible device, such as a tablet or computer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

You must also show a photo ID in order to attend the course. This must be an original physical document like a passport or a driving licence. This is so that the trainer can register your attendance properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course is only available in English and Welsh languages. If you think your English language skills might restrict your ability to complete the course, or affect your experience, we recommend you make arrangements for an interpreter to help you. Although it is your responsibility to do this, we will need to know who this person is as they will also need to provide ID. They need to be at least 16 years old. How to book a National Rider Risk Awareness Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

How long is the National Rider Risk Awareness Course?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The course lasts 3 hours and starts promptly. You need to be settled and ready to start at the course at the time stated on your joining instructions. If you are attending an in-person course, planning your route to the venue is essential. You will not be allowed entry if you are late. A short comfort break is included within the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your course will be delivered online via the Zoom platform. We\u2019ll send your joining instructions by email\/SMS within 24 hours of the course starting. This will include the meeting link along with the unique meeting ID and password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
