City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council become the latest Local Authority to work with TTC Group to assess the standards of their licensed taxi drivers

Bradford City Council is responsible for ensuring that all taxi drivers issued with a licence are capable of driving to and maintaining a professional standard.

TTC Group has been approved by the Authority to carry out driving standards assessments for current, licensed taxi drivers, as well as to ensure the professional standards of driving for anyone applying to become a licensed taxi driver.

Delivered by a skilled and experienced team of Road Safety Professionals throughout Bradford, TTC Group are now accepting direct bookings from Bradford’s taxi drivers, who are required to complete a comprehensive 60-minute on-road driving standards assessment.

Book your Bradford City Council Taxi Driver Assessment with TTC Group today by calling:

To complete your taxi driver standards assessment on behalf of Bradford City Council, you are required to provide:

  • Your full category B UK driving licence
  • Photo ID (if no photocard licence)
  • A road-worthy vehicle in which our assessor will conduct your assessment
  • A Certificate of Insurance for the vehicle you plan to drive for your assessment(or copy of your rental agreement if the vehicle is hired)

TTC Group is also required to take a digital photograph as part of the assessment, which will be included on your successful assessment completion certificate, which will be emailed to you. This completion certificate is required by the Council as a mandatory part of the taxi driver licensing requirements.

The assessment is designed to test the delegates driving standard in a range of driving environments.  The pass bar is quite high, so we would advise any delegates to ensure they are well prepared in advance of the assessment and ready to deliver a high standard of driving.

Delegates should also make themselves familiar with the Council’s criteria for the assessment and have a professional understanding with the ‘Highway Code’ and ‘Roadcraft – the Police Drivers Handbook’ as part of their preparation.
