Refreshing compliance knowledge
This workshop refreshes drivers' knowledge of current legislation, requirements and exemptions within the haulage and passenger carrying industry.
Drivers will gain an in depth understanding of drivers hours rules and regulations, digital tacho recording equipment and important information on the Working Time Directive. Also explored is tacho infringements, enforcement, graduated fixed penalties and EU and UK Domestic rules and regulations.
Also available as a CPC 3.5 hour workshop.

Explain EU and UK domestic tacho requirements in law and the correct position of the digital tachograph.
Improve knowledge of record keeping and what you must show to an enforcement officer.
Explain the graduated fixed penalty system, who can issue a fixed penalty and breaches of the rules.
Refresh knowledge of the RTWTD for mobile workers and explain the consequences of driving tired.

EU drivers hours rules
Important rules and regulations, rest and break periods, key definitions, driving tired and driver hours scenarios.
Driver responsibilities, analogue and digital heads, different digital tacho cards, manual entries and vehicle unit (VU) downloads.
Key regulations, night work, period of availability (POA), driving breaks and UK domestic rules on Road Transport Working Time Directive (RTWTD).
Penalties for non-compliance in relation to both driver and vehicle operator.
